I have subscribed to their website. The organization send out emails and give you an opportunity to help change a child life by donating. In the email they will give you information about what going on. For instance, they send out an email called "sweet sounds of success" this was a group of 40 young scholars who were in a band and was able to go to New Jersey for a concert and they came in first place. They explain how the students learn music and build confidence and teamwork, and at the end they ask for people to support their gift.
The Harlem Children Zone has help many students and their families. This organization give students and their families hope! As I watched the clips of students and their families express how if it wasn't for Harlem Children Zone it brought joy to my heart. It is truly amazing what the organization is doing. Its the reason some are going to college, have confident and trying new things.

I have explored this site, particularly the programs link, looking at the school programs they have. I like that they offer services for parents as well as children. Often times, parents have trouble knowing exactly what to do when issues arise. We all know children don't come with instruction books and so it takes a collaboration of people to support one another.

ReplyDeleteDeaja, the Harlem Children's Zone is a great organization because children that are in poverty think of it as a second home. By participating in events they gain motivation, they are fed balanced meals, and they have mentors to talk too.

ReplyDeleteHarlem Children's Zone sounds like a great organization to keep youth busy and out of trouble. It also gives the youth opportunities too see other parts of the world instead of what they are accustom to seeing.
